Company N, 75th Infantry, was activated in Vietnam on February 1, 1969 and inactivated on August 25, 1971. The company was originally the Special Troops Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, which was allotted to the Regular Army in 1954 and activated in Okinawa in 1954. In 1969, the 75th Infantry was reorganized into 15 Ranger companies, each attached to a separate division or brigade.
